What do we do?

We are here to help you develop and implement plans to create defensible space on your land through the use of sheep and goats.

Sheep and goats are excellent for fuel

reduction. They will graze the ground as well as browsing the trees and bushes, removing ladder fuels and helping stop the spread of fire.

Grazing your land with goats is very effective for reducing things like thistle, poison oak, and other harmful invasive species which other animals will shy away from. Once digested by a goat, seeds won't germinate, stopping the spread. Repeating this for several years in a row can almost completely irradicate many unwanted plants without having to spray any toxic or harsh chemicals or bringing in heavy equipment that can damage your land.

Sheep are really great if you want to graze in orchards or vineyards because they are ground grazers, and won't climb. Sheep are perfect for preventing damage to crops and irrigation systems while removing ground cover and fertilizing the soils.

Goats and sheep are important in fuel reduction. Mowing can be dangerous on hillsides and cause fires. Bringing in animals will help to clear out the vegetation and expose anything that might be hidden underneath.
